This paper explores possible interactions between COVID-19 and labour market trends attributed to the disruption of new technology. It updates a literature review originally prepared for the Future of Work Commission – A better future for work: the world after COVID-19.
It is important to note that in this piece, we do not consider impacts on the lived experience of work, such as changes in the application of surveillance technology in the workplace, or moral and philosophical questions about the nature and or purpose of work.
